McKenzie Meadows Day 1

Jordan & I safely arrived in Calgary late Sunday night. We did a quick drive by of the McKenzie Meadows course to see what lies ahead for Jordan. It seems this course was hard hit by the floods in 2013. It just reopened last year.

Here is what it looks like today.

Here is Jordan learning how to use his Dad’s golf watch on the tournament eve.

Everytime I take Jordan somewhere I have to get up very early in the morning ????. Dragged Jordan out of bed @ 06:10. Went for breakfast while Jordan went through his morning golf routine. We checked in & got our goodie bag which I am taking good care of.

Our opposition & warmup.

All these kids with the exception of one have really good swings. Surprised by how many girls are in this tournament. Jordan met a few of his friends.

Signed the release form so I could walk on the course & listened to the lecture on rules before we headed out to the 16th hole.

Jordan went bogey, par, bogey before I left him.

The two mom’s I met were from Calgary & veterans of this golf tour. One had a sick daughter named Meagan at the Children’s hospital.

Jordan shot 82 for this round saying it was “OK”. He wanted to stay & practice with his friend Chandler. He is playing from the red tees which plays about 5100 yards long.
