Scotland Photo Tour Plan

Glencoe

After 7 days of golf, I will be staying an extra 8 days to tour other parts of Scotland. Then I will be doing 7 days in Iceland but that is for another post. When planning the Scotland trip, there were 2 areas that were must see, at least from a photography perspective. These two areas are Isle of Skye and Glencoe/Rannoch Moor/Glen Etive. I will be spending 5 days in those areas. Isle of Skye, in particular, is known as a landscape photographer’s paradise.

A lot of my planning was based on a guide that I purchased from Secret Scotland. They provide detailed driving instructions along with various stops along the way to visit.

Bed & breakfast lodgings are far more popular than hotels in the UK so I will be staying at 6 of these. All have wi-fi and include what is known as a Scottish breakfast.

 Scottish Cooked Breakfast

A Full Breakfast, sometimes called an English Breakfast, has a style all its own in Scotland. Along with the typical eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and beans, you’ll also find Black Pudding, grilled tomato, mushrooms, and sometimes Haggis (minced sheep organs). Add tea and porridge, and you’ll be eating like a proper Scot.

Here is my planned trip route.
