My last day in Reykjavik, Iceland. The weather has been sunny for the last few days. It even got to 11 above and I thought it was a heatwave. Last few days have been long hours on the road but got to see a lot. No one is active before 09:00 in Iceland. Today’s leg is about 228 km and according to Google maps, about a 3 h 9 min drive but took considerably longer as I wandered all over the place. Today I visited the tourist stops known as the Golden Triangle: Gullfoss Falls, Geysir, and Thingvellir National Park. A few other pictures from the area.
Today’s leg is about 500 km and according to Google maps, about a 6 h 14 min drive. This is the longest drive of the trip. Another sunny day. The included breakfast’s in Iceland are very basic. Buffet style which provides cereal, bread, cold slices of meat & cheese, sliced hard-boiled eggs and various drinks such as juice or tea.
